LEARN MORE ABOUT THE HAMPTON BEACH STATE PARK REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
Due to nesting of the Endangered Piping Plovers, the handicapped accessible ramp at the State Park is unavailable. There is an accessible ramp available at the Seashell Complex.
Hampton Beach State Park provides year-round recreation, with Atlantic ocean-front facilities situated along miles of sandy beach. The Seashell complex includes a band shell amphitheater, public information services, comfort station, and first aid. The bathrooms at the Seashell are open from May 1 through October 8, 2007. Activities in the park include swimming, fishing, picnicking, and RV camping with full hook-ups in the campground.
Fees: Day-Use: $10.00 per car; $14.00 per RV Hours of operation for the meters are 8:00 am to midnight, seven days a week, from May 1 through October 1. Parking Meters are located along Route 1A and accept quarters and tokens only. If quarters are used, the rate is $1.50 per hour. Tokens cost $5 each for and are good for four hours. Tokens can be purchased at change machines at the following locations:
- Parking lot south of the Hampton Seashell complex - south end and north end
- Restroom on Ross Avenue
- Restrooms at North Beach, Jenness Beach and North Hampton State Beach
Operation Schedule: The Ross Avenue restroom is open year-round. Day-Use: Daily from May 25 through September 9, 2007. Hours of operation, weather permitting, are 8 am - 5 pm Monday through Friday, and 8 am - 6 pm on Saturdays & Sundays. Camping: Pre-season first-come/first-served camping with limited staffing and facilities starting April 28; reserved camping with full staffing and facilities starting May 25 and closing on September 9; first-come/first-served camping from September 10 through October 28, 2007. Lifeguards: Lifeguards will on duty on the Main Beach from 9am to 5:30pm on Memorial Day weekend, May 26, 27, and 28, then the following weekend only on June 2 and 3. Starting Saturday June 9th, lifeguards will be on the main beach, including Hampton Beach State Park, daily until Sept. 3rd. |
